Whenever I find a particular item that I like, I buy it in every variation. Several years ago, I found the perfect tee at Express, so I bought it in every color. I own over a dozen different James Perse tops. I fell in love with a pair of pumps, and couldn’t decide between purple or green – so I bought both.
The same thing happened with these A.V. Max bracelets, purchased from BlueFly.com. I started with the purple and blue bracelets – loved them so much I bought three more …

This is one of my rare purchases from the Victoria’s Secret catalogue. I have never been a fan of their quality, but I just fell in love with these shoes, and they weren’t much of an investment – $68, I believe.
I’m a big feathers fan. Not that obnoxious maribou that pops up on trophy wife negligees or explodes around prom season. I like real feathers. There is something very alluring about them. Perhaps they remind me of classic burlesque dancers. But whatever it is, I adore them as accents.
The shoes …

This is another one of those tops that is just ok, until I see it has been marked down to $20… then it becomes awesome. I love the graphic print of this – and I am generally not a fan of prints. Love the color scheme too. The top is very comfortable and breezy. I must admit, I am a fan of the way it accentuates my bust line. But pas tthat, it gets a little dumpy, shape-wise. It’s a nice, easy-going top though, …

These were my wedding shoes. I really lucked out. Bridal shoes are just so bland – plain white satin, unadorned, with a few very basic styles. Truly hideous. I happened to find these on my near-daily tours through the Nordstrom website. I fell in love with them instantly. They are vintage-y, sexy, and something I would wear again.
There was only one thing stopping me from buying these shoes: I hadn’t picked a dress yet! I stepped up my shoe browsing, just to see …

Cotton Candy Romper

This romper, while cute, isn’t normally my style. It’s a little too 70s, and it is not particularly flattering for my body. However, it is so soft and comfy, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s made of Modal, so it is really, really soft – and I am all about texture. It’s very light and airy, so it will be perfect for the hot Los Angeles nights (which are already upon us, even in March). It reminds me of the kind of thing you wear …

Oh Lacroix shoes, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. One, your whimsical polka-dots. Two, your red trim that provides a delicate but decidedly modern detail. Three, your 3.5″ heel that is neither too narrow, nor too chunky. Four, your semi-rounded toe, not too pointy, just enough to lend an air of vintage maturity to an otherwise playful shoe.
I picked these up at the Christian Lacroix boutique in Caeser’s Palace in Las Vegas. These are one of the few pairs of …

These shoes were a trying experience for me. I had purchased very similar shoes a few weeks prior to buying these. They were also Moschino, but they were turquoise sequined halter-backs with a peep toe. I had been unable to decide between the turquoise (a more versatile color I thought) and the orange (more sparkle for the buck). I ended up with the turquoise because of one important detail: they had my size.
But a week later, I was doing my usual trawl through the Macy’s clearance …
