Yes, I am obsessed with laptop cases. Probably because I am just obsessed with my laptop. My MacBook Pro is a good-looking machine; I want its case to be just as good looking.

Enter Mobile Edge. They offer an entire line of totes, briefcases, backpacks and portfolios specifically designed for women. Not little girls, but businesswomen. This particular tote is part of the BEF Line. The Boomer Esiason Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, and Mobile Edge donates 10% of BEF Tote sales to the foundation. The bag goes a step further: it is 100% vegan-friendly. The leather trim is faux; the suede lining is faux; the body of the bag is nylon.

The bag is compartment rich: room enough for files, a mouse, cables, wallet, pens, etc. Don’t be offended by the detachable cosmetics case - you know you will use it. Be vaguely offended by the detachable exterior cell phone pouch. It is too small for a smart phone and a Razr is a tight fit. The interior cell phone pouch is roomier, and has the bonus of being specially designed to prevent it from being hacked. The straps are surprisingly comfortable, even though they aren’t padded. This bag is good looking, sturdy, and roomy enough so that you don’t need to carry an additional purse. Style is rarely practical, but in this case, it is.

The BEF Signature Tote can be purchased at MobileEdge.com. More information about the company can be found at their blog, MobileEdgeBlog.com
