Lana Fuchs’s Spring 2009 collection was not particularly impressive. I did not see her collections from seasons past, but I was told that Spring 09 offered an eerie sense of deja vu. Flirty dresses in standard silhouettes came in a candy-coated selection of floral prints. Evening dresses ran the gamut from floral lace minis to flowing Greecian gowns to gala ball gowns. It’s a schizophrenic collection with hits and misses.

Some of these are lovely, like the feathered halter, but others seem flirty and short enough to be better suited for lingerie. There is a fine line between high fashion and trash and this designer seems to be teetering dangerously on the edge.
I don’t know if I would call it “trashy”. It’s just for the most part, the pieces are not unique or flattering. It doesn’t feel like a collection - it’s so scatterbrained
