Silver Spoon Gifting Suite

Spork Fashion kicked off Mother’s Day weekend by hitting up the Silver Spoon gifting suite. It wasn’t just goodies for babies. The babies in my life are two rescued dogs, Hunter and Keegan, and there were lots of goodies for them as well. My only regret about that day? I left the boys at home so I could “work.” I feel bad – they would have had a blast (and possibly a tummy ache from all the treats available!). There were gourmet people treats, too. The event was co-sponsored by the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to raise awareness and offer support to families with children suffering from organic acidemia metabolic disorders. Here are some of our favorites from the day.

  • Handmade collars, leashes, and tag silencers from Daisy Couture Collars
  • Personalized, hand-hammered jewelry and accessories from Lisa Leonard Designs. Today, Lisa was showing off adorable dog collar tags (Hunter got one with his favorite activities on it: “fetch. bark. play.”) and baby spoons.
  • Sneak healthy vegetables into everything – even cake – with Hip Hip Puree!. I had a brownie that was loaded with broccoli puree and I swear I didn’t taste anything but chocolatey goodness.
  • Canadian company Kula Klips makes pretty barrettes, pacifier leashes, and adjustable headbands. The barrettes are a little weak for use on grown-up hair, but the headband will fit all ages, and uses an innovative toggle system to painlessly adjust the headband for all head sizes.
  • Bamboo Hugs makes cozy, adorable towels for kids out of 70% bamboo, 30% organic cotton. Egyptian cotton, beware – these bamboo products are ridiculously soft. Bonus points go for the sweetly punk images embroidered on their products: a heart with a scar, a goofy skull, panda and kitty hooded towels.
  • Bitch New York, a premiere luxury boutique for dogs, was showing off doggie couture gowns, fancy food bowls, and grooming products that will make you jealous.
  • Marnie Rocks was offering a new personalized way to brag about your babies. Choose from a variety of charms and crystals to best represent your flock. Astrological signs, numbers, initials, birth stones, and more are all available.
  • Seth & Grayson specializes in ultra-chic baby and kids bedding that will make you jealous. They also make some of the most luxurious and plush robes I have ever felt – but they are for toddlers only. Kids get all the breaks.
  • Little Capers will turn your child into the superhero you know they are. The non-commercial, non-violent tees come with detachable capes so the fun can start with the press of Velcro.
  • Stride Rite was there to show off their lightweight and stylish infant shoes, perfect to take your baby from crawling to walking. When they are running, move them into Saucony’s baby running shoe, which uses the same technology as in the adult shoes, but shrunken down for little munchkin feet.
  • Pamper your pups with Cleo & Patra canine cuisine. Natural, homemade meals are delivered to your door weekly, and include selections such as crustless salmon quiche, stuffed buffalo burger, lentils and lamb stew, and mushroom meatloaf. Everything is cooked with real ingredients, so you could share if you forgot to run to the market.
  • The treats weren’t just for dogs! PolkaTots Cupcakes specializes in cakes made of cupcakes. CJ’s Stix is a family owned and operated company that offers gourmet chocolate-dipped pretzels and rolled in English toffee. They are the first chocolate-dipped pretzels I have ever liked. Beverly Hills Caviar was showing off vegan caviar. Yes, 100% vegan. Tastes almost as good as the real thing!
