Designers and celebrities are joining together, not just to donate to Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief, but to encourage you to donate. Check out some places that your money can go to help – and look good in the process.
From March 21-25, jewelry designer Alexis Bittar will donate 100% of sales made through her website to Catholic Relief Charities (who promises that 93% of all funds goes directly to the relief effort). Additionally, on March 24th, 100% of all boutique retail sales will also be donated.
100% of sales from Stephanie Tan’s current collection at StephieSays.com will go towards relief efforts via the Japanese Association of Singapore.
Ashley Brooke Designs will donate a portion of their “Spread the Love” postcard packages to the Red Cross’s relief efforts.
Lady Gaga has created “Pray for Japan” bracelets. 100% of proceeds will go to relief efforts.
Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park has designed a couple different T-shirts with proceeds going towards Japan relief efforts.
From now through September 15th, Tory Burch will donate 100% of profits from their Japan Disaster Relief t-shirt to the Red Cross’s relief efforts.
A number of Etsy sellers are also donating portions of their profits to Japanese relief.
Of course, you can always donate directly to the Red Cross.
